Kyiv Ukraine Mormon Temples

The Kyiv Ukraine Temple, located on the outskirts of Kyiv, is as historic as it is beautiful. The temple is the 11th temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to be built in Europe, the first in the former Soviet Union and the first in Ukraine.

Members of the Church in Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania, Russia and Ukraine worship in the Kyiv Ukraine Temple. All Church members who meet certain standards of worthiness are welcome to worship in any temple worldwide, but members are organized in temple districts, assigning them to a temple nearby. Over 31,000 members of the Church live in the nine countries that make up the Kyiv Ukraine Temple district. Prior to the dedication of the Kyiv Ukraine Temple, Ukrainian members worshipped in the Freiberg Germany Temple, a journey of 24 hours or more by bus.
