In Rancho Cordova, the Sacramento California Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stands proudly near Lake Natoma. It is the 123rd Mormon temple in the world and the seventh to be built in California. Church members from northern California attend the temple to worship God and draw closer to Him.
Covered with 16,000 pieces of temple white granite quarried in Fuzhou, China, the temple exterior gleams in the sunlight. The temple’s design is reminiscent of Spanish mission architecture, with a majestic colonnade framing the entrance. In front of the temple’s arched entryway, a fountain welcomes visitors to the temple’s beautifully landscaped grounds.
