In the lush, flat lands of Zoetermeer, meaning “sweet lake” in Dutch, stands the majestic structure of The Hague Netherlands Temple. The Hague Netherlands Temple is the 114th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and members from the Netherlands, Belgium and parts of France attend to feel peace and receive blessings within its walls. The temple’s interesting geometric-shaped exterior is finished with granite imported from Italy. Horizontal and vertical lines intersect the basic rectangular design, giving the temple a modern feel. Art glass windows stand out against the polished granite walls, and a single spire features a statue of angel Moroni, a Book of Mormon prophet. His raised trumpet symbolizes the spreading of the gospel throughout the world.
